Better to love God and die unknown than to love the world and be a hero; better to be content with poverty than to die a slave to wealth; better to have taken some risks and lost than to have done nothing and succeeded at it. -erwin lutzer
Thanks to a small group in Texas that worked together, four boxes of these arrived yesterday! We have been reading the Jesus Storybook Bible to our kids for a few years. They never grow tired of the beautiful way the stories are told. (See the precious paraphrase of the Lord's Prayer from JSB in English here.) We are excited to share this stunningly beautiful book with our Haitian family.
From JSB: "No, the Bible isn’t a list of rules, or a book of heroes. The Bible is most of all a Story. It’s an adventure story about a young Hero who comes from a far country to win back his lost treasure. It’s a love story about a brave Prince who leaves his palace, his throne–everything–to rescue the one he loves. It’s like the most wonderful of fairy tales that has come true in real life! There are lots of stories in the Bible, but all the stories are telling one Big Story. The Story of how God loves his children and comes to rescue them."
